Large and airy units with a really comfortable bed, a fireplace for guests to use, as for instance, and the staff were excellent. The location was excellent and unbeatable, adjacent to both York and Selby, the nearby park and ride, and the wildlife on the front lawn. Also, Church of st Helen was 2 km away.

Charming stay with yummy treats!
We had 2 nights in a spacious room. Paul and Hilary were amazing hosts, super helpful about the area. We loved the homemade cakes and biscuits. Breakfast was delicious with tons of options! Just a short bus ride to York was perfect. Only bummer was the shower pressure, could've been better.

The hosts made my stay enjoyable by being really helpful, especially when I needed advice about local bike routes. The breakfast menu was fantastic, offering a full English and fresh fruit salad that I savored every morning. Ideal for a cozy getaway
We were greeted with tea and cake in a cozy lounge with a real coal fire blazing away which was a real treat after a long journey. The full English breakfast was made with eggs from their garden chickens and was out of this world.
It wasn't precisely cheap but still acceptable for the quality we got.

The hotel's charm stood out, with a cozy lounge area perfect. Room amenities included fresh milk for tea and water bottles.
Traffic noise from a busy road made for a less-than-peaceful night's sleep, especially during the early morning hours. Heating in the room struggled to keep up during a chilly night. It didn't kick on until 7:00 p.m., leaving the room cold for a while. The shower lacked warmth and pressure, delivering just a dribble when adjusted for heat, and the absence of heating in the shower room was noticeably uncomfortable.
